Starting in the Windy City May 27th, I’ll attempt to become the first person to ever run AROUND Lake Michigan; the World’s 6th largest lake!! The journey will cover 1,037 miles. 40 Marathons 40 Days.
I hope since you have come this far you will take one more step with me and donate to “The Run”. A 1 cent a mile donation would be $10. A nickel a mile would be $50.
YOU can OWN a mile of the run for $200. Join 1,036 other Cancer fighters, donate $200 and a mile of the run will be yours. Each of you 1,037 mile OWNERS will receive a special edition “I OWN A MILE OF THE RUN TO CURE CANCER” 2012 T-shirt!!
Every donation touches someone’s life somewhere. No donation is too small. (OR TOO BIG) Thank you for being a part of “The Run To Cure Cancer”. Together we will put an end to this disease. See you on Navy Pier!!

Cannon – This crusade against cancer is inspirational, and giving back to others should stir up a fire in all of us. All I can say is love will get you through, with the support of your friends and those you meet along your journey – You got this one in the bag! Pace it out baby – the quick do not necessarily win the race, only the prepared and the one that remembers to live during the race win. Running on empty isn’t an option. Live strong and peace out! Will be donating soon – from eastern Iowa.
Was sitting here in Austin talking to my mom in DSM . She said in passing, “there’s some guy that’s going to run like 40 marathons in 40 days for the Livestrong Foundation” while she was reading the Des Moines Tribune. I said,”holy crap he’s really doing it!!!” Dren mentioned you were wanting to conquer this amazing task many many months ago. Glad you kicking out the miles. Livestrong’s headquarter is a few short miles from my house and I’m so thankful for this foundation as I’ve used resources found within in webpage arming myself with knowledge as our mutual friend fought off breast cancer over the past year. Glad your a part of a Foundation that does so much for so many. Run on!!!
Angela,
Thanks so much for stopping in and cheering Steve on. Every little bit of support helps, so please thank your mother for spreading the word.
Thanks again,
Brian
